Galalicious 2024, was a truly special event, showcasing the partnership of 13 amazing local restaurants, committed diners, supportive sponsors, and donors all coming together to support our local Hospital.

First initiated in 2021 as an alternative to an in-person Gala with ongoing Covid 19 Restrictions, Galalicious has always been about coming together for “A Night to Unite for NHH”. Now that we have just completed our third event, we can state it’s been a continued success! We broadened our community outreach, adding in additional local dining options, some amazing auction items from our valued supporters, and raised considerable funds for our wonderful Northumberland Hills Hospital.

Thank you to each and every one of you who had a hand in supporting Galalicious 2024. This special evening is a multifaceted event, including Sponsorship, Restaurant Recruitment, our robust Online Auction, a community 50/50 raffle generously sponsored by Home Hardware Building Centres in Port Hope, Cobourg, and Brighton, and our “Fund Me” fundraising campaign to raise funds for hospital wide Vital Signs Monitors.

I would also like to thank our Galalicious Cabinet that helps make this event happen from start to finish: Grace Rivers: new restaurant recruitment, Trenholm Parker and Carly Cunningham: Sponsorship, Sue Morrow: Member at Large, as well as our NHH Foundation Signature Events board liaison, Laura McCracken Ebbrell. As well as a special shout out to Therese Brennan – Hunt, our Auction chair for undertaking the Online Auction as only she can.

Lastly, the major engine driving Galalicious is NHH Foundation’s staff team, including Megan Fluxgold, Wendy Bridgman, and Rhonda Cunningham. Priceless!
